A leading independent firm of South Wales Chartered Accountants has a vacancy for a qualified Tax Manager. This is an important role reporting to the Tax Manager and there is career progression for the right person.

The busy dedicated tax department deals with a wide range of personal and corporate tax clients from straightforward tax return cases through to very substantial groups of companies and high wealth individuals including overseas individuals.

We would like to speak with you if you have an extensive knowledge of personal, capital gains tax and corporate taxes and can research into more complex areas of taxation to meet specific client requirements across a diverse portfolio. Some experience of dealing with VAT would be an advantage.

You will report directly to the tax partner and will be responsible for a varied portfolio of tax clients. A knowledge of Iris Tax Software would be beneficial but is not essential. The ability to work independently, as well as part of the tax team and to communicate effectively with both clients and HM Revenue & Customs is important. There will be a requirement to supervise junior staff and work in conjunction with the audit and assurance department staff, as necessary.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and career progression, including training support, is available up to partner level, for the right candidate.
