Large independent firm seeks an experienced Private Client Tax Director/Partner Designate for a role based in Chesterfield. Will consider a full-time or part time appointment with scope for some hybrid/flexible working. Good quality client based and growing tax team. This firm really punches above their weight class. The suitable candidate for this role will regularly advise on the full spectrum of private client tax advice including the following:
- Estate / IHT reviews and bespoke, complex planning to mitigate IHT exposures.
- Implementation and management of trust planning.
- Preparation of Wills.
- Property tax planning.
- Offshore aspects (although not essential).
- Residency and Domicile aspects for HNWs.
- Estate administration
The right candidate for the role will also:
- Autonomously scope and deliver projects to clients.
- Lead the operational side of the private client tax planning team, including development of others and overall strategy.
The candidate must have a least 5 years’ experience advising on inheritance tax and trusts. This role will involve a significant amount of time signing off the administration of Estates so the candidate will be required in the medium term to be capable of signing off assignments for the Estates team.
In addition, the candidate must know their way round a set of accounts and have had practical experience of reviewing/having an input into accounts, in addition to having the gravitas and other attributes to, in time, lead the team and formulate strategy.
