The tax partners are looking for an experienced personal tax specialist to assume responsibility for a portfolio of clients including HNW, entrepreneurs and professionals. Client contact is encouraged so the role will suit someone who has good interpersonal skills as well as technical ability. Although the running of the portfolio will largely call on compliance skills, you should also be able to spot planning opportunities and will work on these either independently with support where needed or for more complex matters with the help of the senior members of the team including the dedicated tax partners.

The firm is very good at playing to people's strengths and taking into account their team members' ambitions. There is plenty of scope to progress although the firm can equally accommodate someone who is content to manage a portfolio and the associated relationships with clients and third parties. You may be qualified by exam or experience, but a steady work history, good experience gained in other tax strong firms and the ability to prioritise work are essential.
