PERSONAL TAX SENIOR, LONDON, to £48k

Our highly respected client is looking for a Personal Tax Senior to work in the Tax Department in their London office.

The role is permanent and the ideal candidate will be an existing tax senior (or possibly a recently promoted semi-senior), committed to a career in tax and have relevant experience in a general practice firm, preferably in a Top 20 firm environment.

The successful applicant will be responsible for their own portfolio of high net worth private clients involving the preparation of tax returns and tax computations, and in the general administration of the portfolio. Reporting will mainly be to the managers and senior managers within the department

The allocation of work includes preparation of SA returns for private clients and wealthy individuals, as well as for partnership and UK resident and offshore trust.

This might involve the preparation of business tax computations, CGT computations on the disposal of securities, chattels and property, and all related aspects of looking after the complex tax affairs of a variety of high net worth private clients.

In addition to experience in preparing tax returns for individuals, some experience of the following is also desirable (but not essential) -trusts, partnerships, employment tax, EIS, VCT, accounts preparation, claims and elections, as well as residence and domicile experience.

The role provides an excellent range of work for someone with a solid basic tax background wishing to broaden their experience with a dedicated "private client" firm with an enviable client base, and to get involved in helping with planning work
