This Tax Team specialises in providing expert guidance on restructuring businesses in financial difficulty and offers advisory services as an integral part of their fast-expanding capital advisory division.

These include high-profile insolvency cases such as prominent company administrations, liquidations, and receiverships, as well as processes like debt-for-equity swaps, schemes of arrangement, and mergers & acquisitions.

They excel in both UK-based and international transactions and are now seeking a VAT expert at the Director level. Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and deliver indirect tax projects, ensuring exceptional technical standards in a multifaceted commercial setting.
* Guide and mentor junior team members.
* Help secure new opportunities by fostering strong client and internal stakeholder relationships with support from the broader tax team.
* Stay updated on changes in indirect tax laws and contribute to the technical advancement of the team.
* Manage team members to meet project deadlines, liaising with HMRC where required.
* Uphold risk management standards.
Required Skills & Experience
* CTA qualification with outstanding VAT expertise and analytical abilities.
* Comprehensive understanding of UK VAT regulations and practices.
* Valuable experience in partial exemption, insolvency, and M&A processes.
* Dedication to teamwork.
* Proven project management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
* Strong aptitude for building and maintaining both internal and external client relationships.
* Pre-established robust client and market networks.
