About the Role
I'm currently working with an expanding team within a prestigious firm who are seeking a Corporate Tax Senior Manager to join their growing Corporate Tax department. This role is available in either their Birmingham or Nottingham office, offering the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, from family-owned businesses to multinational corporations.

In this senior-level position, you will play a pivotal role in managing and delivering technically excellent advisory and compliance services. You will be involved in a broad spectrum of projects, including tax structuring, domestic and international tax advice, and supporting clients through tax authority enquiries. The firm offers a dynamic and supportive environment with a strong leadership team, making this an ideal opportunity for someone looking to develop their career and lead high-profile projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of high-quality tax advice on a variety of topics including tax structuring, refinancing, legal structure optimisation, and reorganisations.

Provide both domestic and international tax advisory services, helping clients achieve their business goals.
*

Manage compliance work, including overseeing tax authority enquiries and providing technical support to the wider team.
*

Work closely with colleagues from other departments and overseas offices to collaborate on complex advisory projects.
*

Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering their professional growth.
*

Manage the operational aspects of the team, including resource allocation and performance management.
*

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, identifying opportunities to expand the range of services provided.
*

Support business development efforts, including preparing proposals, delivering tender documents, and presenting at client pitches.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

*

ACA, CA, CTA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification with strong expertise in corporate tax and accounting.
*

Experience in leading teams, coaching junior staff, and managing stakeholder relationships.
*

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to communicate complex issues clearly and effectively.
*

Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills with a commercial mindset.
*

A proactive and entrepreneurial approach to identifying and pursuing business development opportunities.
*

Ability to manage multiple projects and client relationships simultaneously.
*

Enthusiastic, driven, and adaptable, with a commitment to continuous professional development.
