I'm currently working with a global IT business that is looking to add additional resource to it's in-house tax team.
Your new role
The International Tax Accounting & Compliance Manager is a key role within this group's in-house tax team, supporting the growing number of entities in this international software group. The role will have an international focus and a varied mix of tax accounting and compliance.
* Managing Tax accounting and reporting, in coordination with other members of the Tax and Finance teams to ensure timely, accurate and compliant tax reporting at each calendar quarter-end, December year-end, and additional hard-close periods in May and November
* Coordinating with external auditors and advisers
* Monitoring changes in tax legislation and assessing their impact on the company.
* Offering guidance, training, and support to accounting team colleagues
* Reviewing processes for continual improvement to ensure maximum efficiency and digital adoption.
* Working with advisers and in-house finance teams to manage and coordinate the accurate preparation and timely filing of tax returns for multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with international tax laws and regulations, where any issues are visible and escalated.
* Building, managing, and maintaining the tax compliance calendar across all zone entities, ensuring clarity on deadlines and requirements for all key stakeholders.
* Managing deliverables and fees against expectations and budget
* Documentation of risks and related processes and controls including associated risk registers.
* Monitoring compliance with the group's transfer pricing policy and business models and responding to ad hoc queries.
* Assisting with audits and enquiries
What you'll need to succeed
* Degree and Qualified Accountant or Tax Advisor
* Experience in mid/large-tier practice or in-house tax function, preferably in a multinational environment
* Strong tax accounting knowledge and previous work experience within the tax reporting arena
* Background in corporation tax compliance
* Digital acumen, proficiency with tax software and the desire to identify process improvements to make the best use of technology.

* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate tax topics concisely to varied colleagues and stakeholders.
* Strong interpersonal skills, able to network and foster collaboration across international and cross functional teams.

* Curious and open to learning in a growing blue-chip environment.
* Understanding of business models, and TP
* Ability to anticipate, detect and communicate risk and assist with proactive problem-solving to mitigate risk.
* Challenge the status quo, and be prepared to innovate, influence, and convince for improvement.
* Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
