VAT Manager - In house : to £65k + bens (predominantly remote working)

A newly created role for a VAT Manager to join an established in house team and assist with providing UK and international compliance support, deal with often complex VAT queries and mentor more junior members in the team.

It’s a varied role and your responsibilities will include:

● Managing the quarterly VAT return process
● Provide advice on the VAT liability of the business transactions
● Ensure effective internal VAT compliance processes are applied
● Manage year end VAT partial exemption calculations
● Take lead on projects and manage outputs accordingly
● Supporting the senior manager on various complex advisory projects
● Coach junior team members, including signing off their work

To apply you will need at least 4 years practical UK and International VAT experience – ideally a blend of compliance management and advisory experience. A good base of technical VAT knowledge and some prior people management experience will be key. The role can will be predominantly remote with occasional travel (1-2 times a month) to London.
