Global Trade & Customs - ERP Automation - Director

A global leader in assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services is seeking a dynamic and ambitious individual to join its rapidly expanding Global Trade team. This position offers the chance to be at the forefront of trade automation and transformation programmes, working with significant multinational clients and collaborating with experts across tax, technology and consulting teams, both in the UK and internationally.

The Role

The Director of Global Trade ERP Automation will play a pivotal role in helping clients optimise their ERP systems and trade automation solutions. They will be responsible for guiding clients in selecting and implementing the right technologies to streamline customs and trade processes. This role involves working on a variety of projects related to ERP system trade optimisation, process improvement, controls and supply chain technologies. The successful candidate will develop innovative strategies to help clients navigate complex Customs and Trade regulations while building a strong corporate network.

Key Responsibilities

The Director will engage with clients to maximise the value of their ERP systems and trade automation tools, using their expertise to deliver technology-driven solutions. They will collaborate with teams from indirect tax, tax transformation and global networks to deliver high-quality projects. Additionally, they will drive business development opportunities and lead project teams, ensuring successful implementation of trade optimisation strategies.
Skills and Experience

* Director grades must have proven ability to independently manage large-scale client projects in a consulting environment.
* Experience in designing, developing, or implementing trade solutions (e.g., SAP GTS) or other ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.
* Familiarity with modern technologies, including SQL, data analytics tools, cloud computing, AI/ML, and logistics solutions.
* Customs & Trade knowledge is Preferable but not essential.
* Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills, with experience leading international project teams and fostering client relationships.
* Business development: Ability to identify and expand business opportunities with clients.
