The employment tax manager will be involved in ensuring global employment tax compliance, focusing on international assignments, cross-border travel, and UK-specific regulations. The manager will support tax due diligence, oversee PAYE and PSA compliance, and advise on complex tax issues like tax equalization, IR35, and salary sacrifice.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Manage tax for international assignments and expatriates.
* Oversee Short Term Business Visitor (STBV) tax processes.
* Ensure PAYE and PSA compliance, especially for non-cash benefits.
* Advise on UK-specific tax issues (expenses, benefits, IR35).
* Develop tax-efficient compensation strategies.
* Implement controls to mitigate tax risks and manage HMRC compliance.
* Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Legal on tax matters.
* Scope and manage new projects and vendor relationships.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of UK employment tax and global mobility, experience in employment tax advisory and compliance projects from working in a large organisation, and hold an accounting or tax qualification.
