Indirect Tax Manager

My client, a leading player in the renewable energy sector are looking to hire an Indirect Tax Manager to take the lead on all VAT related issues across the group. This opportunity gives an extremely broad exposure, as there will also be elements of Corporate Tax. The successful candidate will have the chance to take the lead on system integration and automation of new processes as the group look to streamline their VAT function.

This would be the perfect next step for an experienced and ambitious indirect tax professional with an interest in systems as well as having an interest in Corporation Tax.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of VAT returns across the group, ensuring computations are
reviewed and submitted on time
- Offer up-to-date VAT advice to the group, answering queries as and when required
- Bringing VAT matters to the forefront of group finance matters
- Manage relations with external advisors and tax authorities
- Support the Head of Tax with international tax advice

Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified or studying towards
- Understanding of UK VAT compliance is essential
- Previous systems experience is preferable
- Experience within property/construction preferred
- Personable with excellent communication skills
- Corporation Tax experience is preferred
