Our client, a prominent accountancy firm ranked in the Top 20 in the UK, is seeking a highly motivated individual to join their team as a Private Client Tax Assistant Manager. In this role, the Assistant Manager will collaborate with the Private Client Tax Team, servicing clients with diverse needs, including high-net-worth individuals and family groups. The responsibilities encompass various tax matters, such as residence and domicile issues, UK and offshore trusts, self-employed individuals, company directors, landlords, and more.
Key responsibilities include liaising with clients and colleagues, handling client inquiries, reviewing Self-Assessment Tax Returns, completing/reviewing online CGT Returns, and supporting advisory work on tax planning issues. The Assistant Manager will also manage work in progress (WIP) and billing for their clients while ensuring compliance with established procedures.
In addition to core responsibilities, the Assistant Manager will participate in business development activities, administrative tasks, and training for junior staff. They will also have the chance to contribute to articles for external newsletters and resolve Private Client queries.
The Assistant Manager will play a pivotal role in mentoring and providing feedback to junior staff members, fostering their personal development. The firm values continuous learning and provides access to internal and external training courses on technical and non-technical subjects.

The ideal candidate should have:
* Proven PC skills gained in a practice setting
* A strong understanding of PC principles
* The ability to communicate complex issues clearly to non-experts
* Up-to-date technical skills and experience across various PC tax areas
* The ability to manage a client portfolio profitably
* Experience in tax advisory matters and report writing
* ACA/CA/CTA or equivalent qualification
