Position Overview:

As a UK Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of tax compliance and reporting across the group. You will work closely with the wider tax and finance team, external tax advisors, and other key stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely tax filings and optimising their tax position. Responsibilities:
• Prepare and submit accurate tax returns and reports, ensuring compliance with relevant UK tax laws and regulations.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business, providing proactive advice and guidance to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure tax strategies align with the company's goals and objectives.
• Lead in the preparation of tax provisions and support the financial reporting team during audits.
• Provide expert advice on tax matters to internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, and operations teams.
• Maintain strong relationships with tax authorities and external auditors, acting as the main point of contact for tax-related queries.

Qualifications:
• A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CTA) is highly desirable.
• Proven experience dealing with hands on tax compliance
• Strong knowledge of UK tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated expertise in tax planning and analysis, with the ability to identify and implement tax-saving opportunities.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle complex tax calculations and financial data.
• Proficiency in tax software and MS Office applications desirable, ideally Alphatax
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
