Their team delivers deep tax technical, people, and legal expertise while providing the critical context to make informed and compliant decisions. They work with clients ranging from multinational organizations and public sector bodies to entrepreneurs and family businesses, providing diverse and challenging work.
We are looking for two experienced individuals to join their team in either Manchester, Birmingham, or London. You will be part of their Technology business supporting the Indirect Tax Reporting & Strategy group across their consulting space. With an unparalleled client base held by the team, this is a rare opportunity to work within a specialist team and help shape and build the business and team within their Indirect Tax Technology practice. You will be fully supported by their Tax Technology, Indirect Tax, and Tax Reporting & Strategy leadership teams to achieve all your goals.
The successful candidate will have a core technical solution-level understanding of Customs solutions and a rounded appreciation of other indirect tax systems. You will have experience in the implementation and technical review of key financial and logistics modules and of methods of data extraction from these systems, including SAP GTS within S/4 Hana. Aside from this key area, any additional experience with various Customs applications, trade applications, indirect tax engines, indirect tax (VAT and Duty and/or supply chain) accounting, strong data analytics skills, and knowledge of HTML and Javascript will be an advantage.
As an Indirect Tax Technology Manager, you will be a self-starter with a passion and drive to take this forward and provide a technical center of excellence as part of their team. You will have excellent project management skills, experience in producing requirements documentation, undertaking impact analysis and detailed design sessions with both developers and business teams, creating, reviewing and completing test cases, and able to communicate tax, data, and technology concepts to non-specialists. You will have experience of multi-territory indirect tax compliance.
