Innovation Relief - Tax Director Opportunity

A specialist tax team is currently seeking a Tax Director to lead the Innovation Relief (IR) tax teams across the Southern region. The position is responsible for developing the Southern region's IR strategy and the national team vision, leading client engagements, and growing the company's presence in the local and national market.

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record and reputation, high-level tax technical knowledge of the R&D tax incentives in the UK, experience in preparing and submitting R&D tax relief claims in all sectors, and knowledge of different claim methodologies. You should also have experience in client handling and managing a busy portfolio, as well as experience in leading a team of people and developing strategies for business growth.

Requirements for the role include a relevant professional qualification (such as CTA, ACA, or CA), as well as experience in responding to HMRC enquiries. Desirable qualifications include a technical or scientific background (degree or industry experience) and experience of making patent box claims.
