Group Tax Manager - London / Hybrid, to £100k + bonus + pension

My client, a FTSE-Listed pharmaceutical company are looking for a Group Tax Manager to join their London head office and lead the Group external reporting.

The company has established operations globally with a strong presence in APAC. This move is part of an acquisition plan and will allow you the opportunity to build a team from scratch, whilst establishing controls and compliance frameworks.

This role will provide the wider finance team and business tax advice and are the main contact when advice from external tax consultants is required.

This is a hybrid role that is paying up to £100,000

Responsibilities:
• Design the tax compliance and reporting process for the UK entities
• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimise the company’s tax position
• Lead planning and research initiatives to identify tax-saving opportunities
• Coordinate with external advisors to manage audits and assessments
• Work with consultants to advise the business on tax impacts of business operations
• Create VAT compliance frameworks
• General management of all tax matters

Requirements:
• ACA/ACCA/CTA Qualified with in-house corporate tax and VAT experience
• In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations
• Ideally pharmaceutical experience
• Experienced in hands-on tax compliance and knowing “what good looks like”
• Knowledge of Alphatax software for preparation of UK corporation tax returns
• Strong communication skills with people across the business
